We\u2019ve been working very hard to finish our goals for this deploy, and I\u2019m delighted to announce the following improvements:<\/p>\n<p>The Gelatinous Cube in the Necropolis has received a make-over! Not only has it been giving some squelchy sound effects, but it jiggles pleasantly every time you try to do damage:<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=&#8221;https:\/\/genericlakemonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Cube-min.gif&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221; title_text=&#8221;Cube-min&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve also updated the map art for the Cube\u2019s home where it reigns wobbly supreme. Players can now enjoy beautiful art as they figure out how to take down a bioluminescent Cube. Turn up the music volume for maximum spooky vibes \u2013 this is easily one of my favorite levels in the game! Overtake them, push them, thwack them, throw them in a pit! Bonus points if you fling them at each other. There are few things more satisfying than using your opponent\u2019s numbers against them.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=&#8221;https:\/\/genericlakemonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Necropolis_Map_and_Slashers-min.gif&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221; title_text=&#8221;Necropolis_Map_and_Slashers-min&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>These animations are only the latest in the sweeping improvements we\u2019ll be making for the opponents in Quarterstaff. All our temp enemies are slowly being phased out, and we\u2019re very excited for the future.<\/p>\n<p>Next \u2013 that\u2019s right, NEXT \u2013 we have another update in the Sacred Forest. Please say hello to the creepy and borderline abominable Dryad Sentinels:<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=&#8221;https:\/\/genericlakemonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Dryad_Sentinel-min.gif&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221; title_text=&#8221;Dryad_Sentinel-min&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>For those of you who have been through these levels before, I urge you to revisit them \u2013 you may find them a bit more challenging. Our Dryad Sentinels don\u2019t move, but they still pack a punch \u2013 their roots have a long reach, and their bark is tough to penetrate, so be on your guard.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve also updated the build with the third and final map environment art for the Bandit Hills. Be sure to give that area a replay. Even though we\u2019ve made some major visual updates, we\u2019re constantly working to streamline or improve everything that already exists in game. We\u2019ve polished some animations, fixed some weird bugs, and optimized some loading time issues.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve also snuck in some new dialogue for our Tavern Patrons. If you haven\u2019t visited before, go pay them a visit.
